Is it really over a month since I wrote on my blog? Well it has been a manic August...lots going on and daughter moving house (helping to clean etc! how DID that happen ?)

Anyway I am now taking part in my first Altered Book Round Robin with my friends on my yahoo group. It has the theme of Inspirational Women. I think this is a great theme and my head is full of inspirational women (and not much else...). I have created my first two pages and am sending it off to the next person. There are 8 of us and we shall hopefully get our books back with other people's artwork in them come May 2009. I hope to get better over the next few months at imaginative ideas for my artwork.

I saw a film about the life of Frida Kahlo recently and was inspired by her determination and spirit. Despite a life lived in both physical and often emotional pain she never let the b*****s
grind her down!
I have long admired Mother Teresa for her enormous unselfish love toward the poor and the sick. She is an inspiration to me particularly with something she once said about getting involved."Do not wait for leaders. Do it yourself - person to person." What a challenge!
